Participate in the 2010 Hiphop Census.

1. Record 1 minute or less video of your thoughts on the current state of Hiphop/music. (Be creative: rap, sing, poem, draw a picture, etc..or just speak your mind!)
2. Upload to Youtube.com (Tag & Title: Jin 2010 Hip-Hop Census)
3. Post link on AyoJin.com comment section of the “2010 CNY Hiphop Census” blog entry.
4. On Feb. 28th, one entry will be selected randomly out of the top 10 clips with the most views and he/she shall receive the $$. So promote the clip to all your friends and family!

    Hip Hop is in a state of critical condition
    The beat overpowers the lyrics to even listen
    Back when it was all about the poetic styles and things u wanna hear
    But now the media utters nothing but money sex and gears
    No flow structure, no trend diagram
    No pac or biggie to set the bar high again
    Rhyme with intellect to reach the mass was the plan

    I think this subject has been covered time and time again and its always the same result, HIP HOP ain’ dead. I think Final Outlaw Hip Hop 4ever, said it best “they said hip hop is dead but instead it evolved in anybody who ever critics it was wrong even those who hate it the most use slang when they talk”. Hip Hop isent dead, It has infused itself into out way of life. Of course we have week players in the game right now, doing it for the fame, but still you got cats like J Cole, Final Outlaw even poison pen doing it for the love of the music. You can take the music outta NY but you cant ever take NY outta the music. Just my 2 cents!
