Ya killed it man. Just wanted to drop by and tell u you’ve been such an inspiration as an ABC (I’m from Canada, but same deal), Christian, but mostly because you’re a guy going after his dreams.

Beautiful is one of my fav. songs and beats by Em, and I’m real surprised you picked it because it’s “lesser known”. I think its one of his best and most honest works, and this matches right up there with the og.

Listened to the demo for few times and I really hesitated with the name of the track…
I personally think it just doesn’t really match with the lyrics…

Not an expert of naming things, but I tried to think of alternative names for it…
What about…

“The Prologue (of a Beautiful Story)”
“Something like an autobiography – the prolog”
??????

Very beautiful lyrics. From your eyes I could see you getting a bit emotional towards the end and at that point I knew how much thought and feeling you had put into this joint. It connects with the listener because its real and we can tell you’re drawing from all these experiences of personal struggle and rejection. Listening to this makes us all appreciate the path you took to getting where you are today. Keep doing what you love and one day the world will be ready for you.

I love the lyrics, I love the story. It’s very inspirational.. but I’m going to be a critic. I think there’s something missing… not lyric wise, not the way you’re rapping it… the tune is fine, but it sounds like there could be something added to the tune to top it off. But, you were amazing. =D can’t wait till the mix tape comes out.

So I clicked played, and listened to this the first time somewhat in passing, and thought “Oh another sob story,” and went on to browse whatever. But the “comments comments comments” thing at the end got a laugh out of me, so I actually read the comments ahah. And then I played your demo again, listening/watching attentively.

Wow. Honestly, you are truly an inspiration. I ain’t a rapper or nothing, but I am an ABC struggling to do well in college + fulfill my parents wishes. Thank you for being such a down-ass rapper. You aren’t just that hella fine ass Asian that blew up from Freestyle Fridays back in the day.. you truly are talented. And I don’t mean “talented for an Asian” or whatever – you didn’t slip up or nothing, you know that. But it takes a lot for someone to put out their “beautiful story” like that. With personal struggles and errthang, you hella put it out for us – and I thank you for that. Your ingenuity is mos def inspirational.

Haha, so then I thought, damnn this fool only got 28 comments and like 400som’n views on youtube – more people should be recognizing his talent! But then I saw its just the first day you posted it haha. Hopefully in awhile, you gon blow up and be at the Grammy’s and with a VH1 behind the music or somethang like that (not for a biggie tupac type of incident though arright!) But as you say, this is just the first few steps – I’m excited to see where you go from here. It’s only the beginning y’all.

Is this to Eminem’s “Beautiful” beat off Relapse? Because it really sounds like it.

It’s dope, I dig the flow. It is really reminiscent of Em on both the track “Beautiful” and “Mockingbird”, and that’s not a bad thing. I think you have the potential to equal Em’s success in the States, just wish you woulda stayed.

But we all have our reasons and callings and sense of purpose. You were the spark that lit the flame for our people as a foundation for Asian American Hip Hop. Or even Canadian. I see all these YouTube cats like Traphik (your boy) and D Pryde and feel like they’ve got so much talent they should be able to break through in the mainstream and flourish.

I feel it coming, before 2020, we need an Asian music artist in the mainstream. It’s about that time. I believe that door’s always gonna be open for you, maybe you need to claim your place. Then again maybe that’s not your intention or the direction you want for yourself. Still, one has to learn to live with regrets, as Hov says. I wish the best for you and I know you’re holdin it down hard in HK, I just wish I spoke Cantonese, I only speak Mandarin.

Oh yea, and I’ll be sure to submit for your Census Mixtape.

Keep up the good work Jin! Glad to see you giving your talents to God. The flow was tight and great narration. Definitely a keeper for the upcoming album. Maybe a little more bass and a fuller sound on the beat though.
